Dr. McClure will cover several of the most common injured areas in athletes. This will include lecture of the mechanisms of injury and a detailed anatomy review of the injury complex. The bulk of the presentation will occur in a “Hands on “format including the evaluation of the injury complex and the specific Chiropractic correction of the joints involved. A detailed treatment plan including treatment time lines for each injury will be discussed as well as how and when to refer. Each injury will be broken down into an easy to understand presentation and the corrections will be in a logical progression. You will be able to utilize these techniques immediately on there patients with great success. Topics covered will be Hand, Wrist, Shoulder and Clavicle, Ankle and Foot , and the Knee.

Speaker Bio

Dr. Dan McClure combines a life-long love of athletics with his chosen profession for a natural specialization in chiropractic sports medicine. He is a former high school and college athlete who first became interested in chiropractic when it offered him great relief for a low back injury sustained during college football.

Following his graduation from Palmer College of Chiropractic he began volunteering as a team physician for local high school football, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, track, and baseball. The valuable experience gained in working with these athletes, plus completion of his C.C.S.P. degree, led to his selection for the interdisciplinary sports medicine team at the US Olympic Training Center in 1989. His USOC association continued through the 1990 Olympic Sports Festival and the 1991 Pan American Games.

Due to his successful treatment of divers’ wrist injuries at those USOC events, he was invited to join the Sports Medicine staff of US Diving in 1991. Since then, he has worked with elite divers at training camps, Indoor and Outdoor National Championships, Olympic Trials, and the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain.

Dr. McClure is a nationally and internationally renowned expert and lecturer on extremity injuries and manipulation. His extremity experience ranges over 25 years. Dr. McClure’s state of the art techniques are constantly being refined, so you will learn time proven techniques as well as cutting edge techniques in the process of development. This level of commitment and experience, along with his passion for excellence in applying chiropractic extremity techniques is what makes him the best in his field.

You will be taught the subluxation pattern for the pronated foot as well as the extension technique for the wrist and knee. The workshop will be presented in Deliberate Practice format which involves multiple repetitions to assure the participants leave the seminar knowing how to perform the adjustments.

Dr. Mark Charrette is a 1980 summa cum laude graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. He is a frequent guest speaker at nine chiropractic colleges and has taught over thirteen hundred seminars worldwide on extremity adjusting, biomechanics, and spinal adjusting techniques. His seminars emphasize a practical, hands-on approach. Dr. Charrette is a former All-American swimmer, who has authored a book on extremity adjusting and also produced an instructional video series.

Dr. Tom Hyde has been a chiropractic lecturer for over 30 years to a variety of clinicians, including: chiropractors, physical therapists, certified athletic trainers, medical physicians, licensed massage therapists, occupational therapists, and many others worldwide. He was a chiropractic consultant for the Miami Dolphins for seven years, the United States chiropractor to the Pan American Games, and the chiropractic coordinator for the U.S. and International Powerlifting Federation.

Dr. Hyde practiced in Miami until an accident forced him to stop utilizing manipulation. He was then hired by Graston Technique® and taught for them for 10 years. During that time, he co-developed Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehab (FAKTR®). He co-authored 2 text books, Conservative Management of Sports Injuries with Marianne Gengenbach, DC.

Dr. Silverman is a diplomate with the American Clinical Board of Nutrition and diplomate with the Chiropractic Board of Clinical Nutrition. Dr. Silverman is also HardStyle Kettlebell Certified instructor, a certified RockTape – Fascial Movement Taping (levels 1 & 2) provider, and also a CrossFit Level 1 trainer. He has a full-time successful private practice in White Plains, NY, where he specializes in the treatment of joint pain with innovative, science-based, non-surgical approaches and functional medicine. He is a nationally and internationally known speaker and author. He is also on the advisory board for the Functional Medicine University, a health contributor to Fox News Radio and has appeared on Fox & Friends, NBC News, CBS News, NewsMax TV and Westchester’s Channel 12 as a health expert.
